Tips for Dealing with Anger in the Workplace, Pt. 2

 

In an earlier blog post, the team at AIC. American Integrity Courses looked at anger in the workplace and the value of online anger management courses. We will build upon that theme here with additional valuable tips.


If there are any episodes of workplace anger, it is essential to keep detailed and accurate records. Keep in mind that anger is often not personal but reflects the individual's more profound issues.

Regardless of the source of the anger, it is vital to keep the safety of everyone in the workplace in mind.

Work to diffuse the anger at the moment while being calm and collected.

Finally, let the angry person cool down and then attempt to get to the source of the anger.


One readily apparent benefit of online anger management courses is that the person can do the work when it fits their schedule. They don’t have to disrupt a routine and can do the coursework at their own pace. Some people are embarrassed to take anger management training, and online classes help eliminate that because they are working alone.
