The Harvard School of Public Health performed a study
on hostility in men and recorded that men
with higher rates of anger exhibited breathing problems. Not only that, but
their pulmonary functions also declined more rapidly as they aged than their non-hostile counterparts.
Developmental
Problems
Anger management is potentially more important to early
childhood development. Children and adolescents with poor anger management
skills have issues developing healthy interpersonal relationships. They are also at a much greater risk for mental and
general health problems as they get older. It is essential for children to learn to cope with anger early on in life
so that they do not suffer as adults.
